Shopping Results--Giant Eagle & Kuhn's 6/23/2012
I left the house by 10am this morning to go shopping. I usually try to get going by 9, but I was slow to wake up today. We all deserve days like that, right?
Anyways, the shopping trips went well. There were a few things I had on my list that I didn't end up getting, but that's ok. I ended up with 8 FREE packages of Bounty Napkins!
There was some debate this week on several blogs if the Bounty deal would work or not. The Giant Eagle ad states "trail" sized napkins & paper towels are on sale for $1. The coupon states 50¢/1 Bounty Napkin(excluding trail size). However, I inspected the package thoroughly and no where did it say "trail size" or "trail package". So I think the deal is legit. I see no issue with using the coupon for the napkins. The register accepted it without issue.
In my opinion, it was just poor wording in the ad. These things happen sometimes. Just always check the packaging & your coupon to be certain you are buying the correct item that the coupon states.

At Kuhn's, I paid $6.84 for $14.30 worth of groceries for a savings of over 52%!
Surprisingly, I did not use any coupons at Kuhn's.

These are on sale for 99¢/lb which is a great price!

These are on sale for 99¢/lb! Awesome price! I see them as high as $3.99/lb!
(2) Domino Sugar-4lb. $1.99 ea.
Not sure of the regular price of these. However, sugar has gone up in price in recent months so this is a great deal!
If you have the April issue of Food Netword Magazine, there's a $1/1 coupon in it to make this deal even sweeter! I'm bummed because I threw mine away a few weeks ago :(
At Giant Eagle, I paid $56.72 for $119.57 worth of groceries for a savings of over 52%!
I had to separate this order into 2 transactions due to Giant Eagle's limitation on IP(internet printable) coupons. They only allow 2 like IP coupons per transaction. There was also a limitation on the Bounty coupons, 4 like coupons per transaction.

I also got another Catalina for $1.50 off 2 Heluva Good Cheese. I believe this prints out every time you buy 2 cheeses. I might head back before Thursday and grab 2 more for the low price of 94¢ each! This cheese freezes beautifully so it's a time great to stock up on it!
