Challenge: 30 Days to an Organized Home--Day 11

Challenge: 30 Days to an Organized Home--Day 11

Good Morning!

Assignment #11

The Freezer

Cleaning your freezer every few months is a good habit, however sometimes we forget to do it.  Today we'll be cleaning and organizing the freezer.  If you have more than one, feel free to do both if you can.

The best time to clean your freezer is when it's close to empty.  It's OK if your isn't, you'll just have to work faster so nothing thaws and gets ruined in the process.  Take everything out of the freezer.  If you have shelves and drawer remove them and wash them in warm soapy water.  You can also use warm soapy water to wipe down the interior of the freezer as well.  I recommend NOT using any harsh chemicals to clean your freezer.  Cleaners leave behind a residue that is very harmful.  Warm soapy water or a mix of 50/50 water and vinegar will get the job done!

After everything is clean, look through your freezer food and throw away anything that has gone bad.  Now just put everything back into the freezer and Voila!  That wasn't too bad!

Check back tonight at 9 pm for my results and linky!

Live Frugal.  Live Happy.
