Challenge: 30 Days to an Organized Home--Day 19 Results
Today's assignment worked out perfectly for me. We only own one car, by choice(and it'll stay that way for awhile!). Normally this means that the car isn't here during the day. But my husband was up all night with a killer headache and took a sick day today. Our kids go to my parents' house every Wednesday, which is awesome(thanks Mom & Pop). So the stars aligned and the house was quiet for the hubster to rest and I had full access to the car!
It wasn't terribly messy or junked up but it did need some TLC!
Here are my before pictures:
I took out my daughter's big car seat and my son's booster first. I also removed the floor mats. Then I removed everything that didn't belong in the car. A shirt, papers, water bottles etc. Next I cleaned the dash, console and all other hard surfaces with a multi surface cleaner.
I grabbed my trusty Dyson to vacuum the interior of the car, mats & car seats. Then I cleaned the windows well. After I reinstalled the car seats and put the mats back, I sprayed the car down with Febreeze. It smells so fresh & clean inside the car. And it looks great too(for an old girl)!
Here are the after pictures:
Check back tomorrow at 9 am for the next assignment! Expect an easy one since we plan to spend most of our day at the pool!
I hope these assignments are helping you as much as they are helping me. Please leave a me comment and let me know how it's going! I would really love to hear from you!
